Ogilvy & Mather launch Neo@Ogilvy in New Zealand

Published by

Yesterday, Ogilvy & Mather New Zealand released a new video, which officially announced the launch of Neo@Ogilvy, the agencies brand new digital division in Auckland. The cutting-edge agency (which is part of a global network that consists of over 40 offices) will be led by Eddy Whatt, who has said they will be investing heavily in “Developing and retaining people with the digital capabilities to retain a leading edge in the market.”

Ogilvy is using Neo as a platform from which to expand its digital services and make sure that all of its services are completely future-proof

The video is a simple, but effective piece of film, that uses a whiteboard and voiceover to explain exactly what Neo is, and what it has to offer its clients. It goes on to explain how Ogilvy is using Neo as a platform from which to expand its digital services and make sure that all of its services are completely future-proof, something which is more important than ever now that the digital media market has evolved so fast, and has become so fragmented. Ogilvy & Mather founder David Ogilvy's “We sell, or else” credo is underlined as being incredibly relevant to the agencies approach, and the integrated nature of the agency, as well as its close links to the wider Ogilvy & Mather family, is also explained.

Whatt says that the new division has an advantage in the New Zealand market; the fact that they are  “Able to tap into the knowledge and expertise” of their colleagues all over the world. He says the goal at Neo is to provide “Consistently exceptional business results” for clients, with their clients digital media requirements remaining “At the forefront of an ever-changing digital market and landscape.” He is incredibly passionate about the results their clients can expect to see, and thinks that with Neo's unique customer intent modelling and their use of data, that they will get closer to their clients customers “Than anyone else in the market.” The agencies digital planning approach works by deploying various proprietary tools to inform pivotal insights, which they then use to build bespoke datasets for interrogation. These forms build the basis upon which the team manages the approach of their multichannel digital media strategies and campaigns.

The agency will offer a full suite of digital media services, which includes display, SEO (search engine optimisation), social media and mobile

Ogilvy has backed Neo with a huge investment of additional staff and technologies, and the first half of this year will see 5 new staff members arriving at the Auckland based offices as new Neo employees. The agency will offer a full suite of digital media services, which includes display, SEO (search engine optimisation), social media and mobile. The Auckland office opened for business on Monday this week (the 14th of April 2014) and it is hoped the new office will help to further establish Ogilvy & Mather as the market leaders in digital media solutions.
